Dr. Sarah Champion, DVM

Owner

Dr. Champion is from Headland, AL. She went to Auburn University for both her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She married Rusty Champion in 2012 and began working as an emergency veterinarian as well as a surgeon in Dothan, AL. Dr. Sarah and Rusty opened Abbie Creek Animal Hospital in 2018 in Abbeville, AL. They have 5 dogs, 2 cats, and 5 horses. They enjoy training retrievers and working cattle on the family farm in their spare time.

Beth Stephenson

Customer Service Representative

Beth is originally from Sylacauga. While new to veterinary medicine she has been a medical receiptionist for 3 years. Since working at ACAH she has realized her love for animals! She has two children and 2 grandchildren that she loves spending time with. She loves college football, reading, and spending time with her family and friends!

Erica WelCH

Veterinary Assistant

Erica is from Dothan, AL. She graduated from Eufaula High School & is currently enrolled with Penn Foster to receive her veterinarian technician license. She’s been in the animal industry since 2020. She enjoys spending time with her many pets and family!

Hillary Walker

Office Manager

Hillary Walker is a Headland native who has worked at ACAH since our opening in 2018! She is married to Justin Walker and together they have three beautiful children, Wyatt and twins Caroline and Copeland. They also have multiple dogs and cats and love living in the country. Hillary enjoys spending her free time with family, friend and church family!

Kelsey Adams

Veterinary Assisstant

Kelsey is from Echo, AL. She has been in the veterinary industry for 5 years and enjoys surgery and caring for our large animal patients the most! Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband, dogs, cats and horses!

Annston Brady

Kennel Assistant

Annston is originally from Headland but currently lives in Abbeville and attends ACA, 11th grade. She plays softball, volleyball and enjoys hunting in her free time. She has five dogs that she shares with her family and she loves snuggling with our patients at ACAH!

Cayla Squires

Veterinary Assistant

Cayla is from Texasville, AL. She has been a part of the ACAH family since 2020 & has been in the veterinary field for 5 years! Her favorite part about ACAH is definitely working cows with Dr. Champion. Cayla has 3 cats; Dudley, Yote, & Ralph, 3 dogs; Marley, Porter, & Milo, & what’s a farm girl without her herds of cattle & flocks of chickens! When Cayla’s not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband & family going hunting & fishing.

Emma Grace Broyles

Kennel Technician

Emma Grace is from Headland, AL. She is a junior in Highschool at Headland Highschool. She enjoys spending time with her horse Smooch and many animals. She also plays volleyball!

Jessica Sanders

Veterinary Assistant

Jessica is from Abbeville, AL. She graduated from Abbeville Christian Academy and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham. She has working with the Abbie Creek family since 2019! Her favorite part of ACAH is the diversity of patients and having something different each day. Jessica has three cats, Snuffy, Onyx & Chuck, and one dog, Boomer. When she’s not studying, she enjoys fishing, watching Netflix and spending time with her family, friends and her boyfriend.

Shannon is from Skipperville, AL. She loves patient care and keeping our clinic clean! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, chickens and dogs!
