Dr. Sarah Champion, DVM
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Champion is from Headland, AL. She went to Auburn University for both her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She married Rusty Champion in 2012 and began working as an emergency veterinarian as well as a surgeon in Dothan, AL. Dr. Sarah and Rusty opened Abbie Creek Animal Hospital in 2018 in Abbeville, AL. They have two boys, Jackson and JD. They also have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 horses. They enjoy training retrievers, gardening, and working cattle on the family farm in their spare time!

Osha is a recent transplant from south Florida to Headland. She has been a vet tech for over 20 years working in general and exotic pet medicine. She is a certified motorcycle mechanic that loves to wrench on classic muscle cars in her spare time. She has two cats. and enjoys traveling with her husband!

Kiera is from Headland, AL. She graduated from High School in 2025. She is expanding her knowledge in equine medicine. She has a passion for training wild mustangs and horses in her spare time. She started as a kennel tech and has grown into the veterinary assistant role over the last 2 years. Her passion for pets is unmatched!

Ashley has worked at Abbie Creek for 1 year as our inventory manager and all around back up through out the clinic! She started as our client, then took over the care of our fish tank, office plants and naturally our inventory! She enjoys spending time with her husband and son as well as their multiple dogs, cats, fish and plants!

Cyndia is an Oregon native that transplanted to Ozark, AL in 2025. She has been a equine veterinary assistant for 2 1/2 years. She has one daughter, 3 horses and two dogs. Horses are her passion, she could talk to you for hours about training, vet care, and all things horses for hours!

Bryana is new to the pet care industry but not new to pets! She is from Skipperville, AL. She loves talking to clients and their pets! She keeps our front desk smiling and tries to help everyone she can. In her free time she enjoys reading books, watching movies, spending time with her 2 dogs and family.

Shannon is from Macon, Georgia. She has made our clinic her home away from for over 4 years. She loves patient care and keeping our clinic clean! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, grand children, chickens and dogs!

Kelsey is from Echo, AL. She has been in the veterinary industry for over 5 years and enjoys surgery and caring for our large animal patients the most! Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband, two children, dogs, cats and horses!

Kenadie is from Dothan/Ashford area. Graduating from school in 2025. She is planning on furthering her veterinary education. She is dedicated to her 2 Maltese (Dolly and Charlie). She loves all pets and taking care of them as our kennel tech. She also enjoys the outdoors when she isn’t working!

Reagan is from Abbeville, AL. She graduated in 2026 and plans to start nursing school at Wallace in the fall. She has five dogs and 1 cat at home. She enjoys loving on all our patients at Abbie Creek!
